The integration works with Instagram Business account. Personal accounts aren't supported. Switching to a Business account is free and takes under a minute in Instagram settings.
Can I reply to comments with the Instagram integration, or just DMs?
Right now, the integration works only for Direct Messages (DMs). Ingstagram post comments aren't supported yet.

Unfortunately, no. Each Smartsupp account can only be connected to one Instagram profile at a time. If you manage multiple profiles, you'll need separate Smartsupp accounts for each one.

Does it Instagram integration support Instagram Story replies?

Yes. Because Instagram's messaging API runs through Meta, you'll need your Instagram Business account linked to a Facebook Page. If they're not linked yet, you can do it for free in Instagram settings.
Will my old Instagram DMs sync after I connect?
No. Messages will start syncing from the moment of connection. Previous DMs won't transfer, so we recommend keeping the Instagram app available for historical reference if needed.
Can I still reply directly from Instagram after connecting to Smartsupp?
Absolutely. Connecting Instagram to Smartsupp doesn't lock you out of the Instagram app. You can still reply directly from your Instagram profile whenever you need to — both work simultaneously.
